13: and they said that turning the quango into a charity would have no effect.
20: I once went to a Bridget Riley exhibition with a raging hangover, which is something I would not recommend.
26: wait until you hear about the eSports team that's moving in.
11. Disappointed this was unblogged
22. Ears?
26: you don't have to take the private medical insurance team seriously, since it came third behind ferny accounting and sunny yoghurt.
28: I've just finished reading The Real-Time Murders, and a good (if slightly manic) read it is too. R!-town, its Wilts, Berks and Hants neighbours and the white cliffs will never seem quite the same...
1, The new Dr Who's series annoys me because the BBC chose to make it in 2:1 aspect ratio instead of 16:9 which leaves a small gap at the top and bottom of the picture. I accept this on cinema films but not entertainment made for TV. I did complain to the BBC.
2, I have been considering changing my hob from gas to electric because it is greener and cleaner. Hope you like yours.
17, I think it is better if possible to get a non "smart" TV and use and external device if you want to watch streamed material on it. Much cheaper to replace that device than a TV when the operating system can no longer be updated.
1 - the YouTube reviews complaining about it have been more entertaining than the actual episodes, not helped by Rotten Tomatoes resetting the poor review scores, resulting in the new ones being worse - but remember, its all just made up stuff, and World of Warcraft players have things much worse.

17 - I try to avoid 'smart' electrical electrical gizmos as you're never sure how long it'll be supported - or if the company will last, the trend to have software 'in the cloud' rather than on the computer you're using raises the same concerns.
7 and 14 - did you visit Stoke Newington, only to discover that Sellfridges was defunct, during your quest to source a replacement?
2. I found moving from gas to electric quite tricky for a while, as electric is not as instantly responsive as turning the gas up or down.

It took a bit more planning to get everything ready at the same time, and it can be quite spectacular if you get it wrong and stuff boils over.
6,23 love the book reviews !
2. Were you upgraded to an induction hob?
32. Well, it's a beautiful day today.
17. Looks like a KDL-W series device, I'm a fellow owner and have been going through exactly the same motions.
Just a heads-up, after testing and returning Chromecast, I settled for a Fire stick and, much to my dismay, was positively surprised: it works so seamlessly with the Sony remote that it feels like the 'smart' part the tv always should have had.
17. Pretty much impossible to get a decent tv without paying for smart functions I won't use. I am very satisfied by a Roku, the cheaper ones atart from something like £30.

29. I feel like I stumbled into an OAPs convention there.
13. A far from uncommon sight on canal towpaths these days since CART took over from BW. I always bring spare socks just in case.
10: I too need these services - more frequently than I used to. However I have been refused access to 2 branches of McD within the last year unless I bought something (ie waited a long time..... too long!). And no I don't recall where they were, sorry.
4: What is promised and what is delivered?
10: An activity variously known, including a McWee and Lies, and a McSplash and Dash.
12: Blimey, that's one of my goals for the 12 months of 2020, rather than the first 12 days! You've put me to shame!
28. I was at school with Adam Roberts. Should I reveal his nickname?
19: Despite these record highs, I am unaware what this means in practical terms. What does this high pressure affect? Has it been caused by climate change? Etc.
17: FWIW - when I saw this was going to happen to my TV I bought a 'Roku Stick+' as it does all the streaming services and doesn't require additional power (if you have a USB socket on the TV). I wish I'd bought one sooner tbh, everything is less buggy than the TV app.
24: run your thumbnail down the crack between the hinge and the front cover of the CD. It splits the plastic and comes away with ease.
All good stuff. I'm glad you're continuing to blog the unblogged.
6,23 - Another thank you for the book recommendations. Since moving countries three months ago, my "to-read" pile is almost empty (there are no charity shops here). I might have to go down the online order route.
17. No, this is a KDL-W.
14. That light is on all the time....
Days which have not inspired comment:

(but the majority have, cheers!)

17: +1 on most of the previous comments, very pleased with my £30 Roku express as a fairly open concept well supported by streaming services although the first one died within 9 months, and because of the openness there ain't half a lot of junky amateurish "channels" available.

2: To augment my basic and well used (2 elements replaced by me) ceramic hob, I got a cheap standalone tabletop induction hob today. Very much more controllable (like gas) although fussy as to which pans work (I got it to make my cast iron based tagine work better, which it certainly did).
6 Gnomon has been on my to-read list at the library for a little while now. It looks daunting, I have to admit! Glad to hear that it'll be worth picking up though.
