Let's hope that said driver, who ought to be congratulated for bring the absurdity of the situation to a relevant influencing blogger, doesn't get admonished for bring the service into disrepute, communicating with the 'press' or some such nonsense.
Funnily enough, I passed through H-a-B yesterday, doing the London Loop.

I checked the times of the bus at the bus stop and thought I had missed it. So kept onto section 21. It was only several fields later that I realised it was the wrong direction I had checked. So I looked at my app and decided that an 80 minute wait was too long, so kept going.

So the timetable on the App was still wrong around 13:45 yesterday.

This is the second time recently I’ve been in the same area as you whilst doing the LOOP.
It just shows that those "on the ground" at TFL (and indeed many other organisations) generally know more about how to run a business more effectively than those higher up who seem to think they know best.
This may just be 'large organisation doing large organisation stuff', it might well be the case that whoever did the new 375 timetable just did it because someone asked them to do a new 375 timetable, job jobbed, move onto the next thing.

No one is truly responsible for anything.
I always assumed that "ENGLAND" was printed on the flag so that pea-brained racists picked up the correct flag down the market.
You don't say whether you spoke to the two waiting passengers, to warn them of their long waits. I hope you did.
Also

• The 375 page on the TfL website hasn't been updated.
• The bus displayed no route number on the journey south, despite showing '375' on the journey north.
• The new southbound timetable includes very unequal gaps, including one of 1 hour 56 minutes.
Perhaps this is all part of a plan by the Mayor to get the ´pea-brained racistś to move over the border to Essex proper.

That being said I looped through here about three years ago and found the area quite charming. albeit with a closed down pub and no bus on sundays.
Temporary timetables seem to be the bane of every passenger given there's never any decent publicity. But they can be done sensibly for the passenger. Recently a route near me (on the edge of Greater Manchester) was lopped off. The final section of the route couldn't run because part of the road was completely closed due to major gas works. So they simply decided to run the bus at all the normal times in both directions. When the bus got close to the point the road was closed, it turned round, and parked up until it would have left at the normal duration.

Why couldn't they just do that? There's clearly somewhere to park up at the southern end - I'm looking at the live tracking of the 375 right now and there's a bus that's been on Collier Row Road for at least ten minutes. If you're going to park up your bus for ages, do it in such a way that the timetable stays the same in both directions. It just makes sense!
Looks like I timed my London LOOP sections 20 & 21 well then having finished the first on July 10th and commenced the second on 20th August, using the 375 to and from Romford Station. It's hardly the easiest place to get to even without TfL screwing up the only bus.
Shakes head in disbelief, while simultaneously completely believing it
And why does the England flag need to have 'England' on it? Do the flag-shaggers not recognise an England flag when they see one?
I believe the 375 is (temporarily) the only TfL bus route not to serve a station, which is another reason why it's awful.
Great post, thanks
Roger's been out to investigate, and written an even longer post confirming it's still just as bad.

Title: Total incompetence in Romford
Nice to see mention of the London Loop in the comments: I became aware of the 375 when walking the Loop and choosing not to use Havering-Atte-Bower as a staging point because the 375 was so infrequent
Same thing happened with the 323 Terminating at Eric Street for months but showing Mile End , Nothing on Tfl websites but Tfl rules dictating that buses can't let passengers alight at the turnaround point ? Makes you question who are Tfl running the services for seems the aim is to make it as easy for Tfl more than the customer .
If you would like to witness another TfL shambles then head down to Station Approach in Hayes where all buses are currently on diversion. There is little information posted anywhere about what is going on, with one poster telling you where to catch the ‘199’.
I’m not sure ‘flaggification’ is a real word . I would have gone with a single ‘g’, or else skirted the phrase.
You wouldn’t have written anything.
