Great report DG. Cromer is a real British seaside resort. Many happy memories of this lovely place.
I went there once about 30 years ago. Walked down the pier, climbed up the church tower stairs (nice views from top) and brought some fish and chips.
I was there in March - a pity you missed the museum - it was rather good.
A promotional email that came yesterday from the Norfolk Museums said
"And although most museums are closed on New Year's Day, Cromer Museum is not only open from 2 - 4.30pm, but there's also Free Admission for all - so it's a great way to start the year, with coastal fresh air, culture and fun!"
What a shame you didn't get there a little earlier in the week. Boxing Day sees a charity swim, with a couple of hundred people taking a dip!

Adam, that is an excellent picture!
Thanks. There are a few more in the sequence on my Flickr account.

I'm usually to be found a couple of miles further up the coast during the break. But this year we walked over to see the swim for the first time. It seems to have become quite an event, all in aid of charity.
