The remains of that ship look like a nice den, no wonder Richard wants to keep it there. I hope he gets some new paint on the upper deck before the rust takes over.
I notice in your article you refer to the Dome in opening paragraphs and it becomes O2 later.
Did you spot the spelling mistake on the sign by the entrance to the ship.

Is the Gormley cloud still there?

We too went to the Slice of Reality yesterday and loved it. I wish I'd taken home made cake for Richard and his child - it felt like visiting someones home and as if you should show up with a gift. We then took a small motor boat over to Trinity Buoy Wharf - a service that wasn't advertised in the Open House brochure. Didn't expect to find anything new here - we've been there so many times before but were thrilled to get a tour around one of the lightships - now done up as a photography studio/ location. All five of us managed the climb right up into the light The man who owns the boat was so friendly and laid back that it was a joy to visit. And all the better for being a surprise.

I love Richard Wilson. His pool of oil in the Saatchi is one of my favourite works of art in London. His sliced ship will become very well known if Boris' cable car is ever built. It'll be round the bend a bit, but will no doubt get more people exploring the peninsula rather than just visiting the O2.

I went to a talk by Richard Wilson at the LSE last year (he has a new artwork there) and he had slides of the boat. He mentioned the pool table - it seemed to be one of the things he was particularly pleased about - but not the drumkit.

I'll believe the Boris cable car when I see it...

I saw "Turning the Place Over" in Liverpool this summer and had no idea it was by the same man! What an amazing man.

Who knew Anish Kapoor was Amish!
