Following on from yesterdays post, grouping the dangleway and a miniature steam railway together is defiantly TfL taking the piss.
Wasn't part of the justification for the Dangleway to increase resilience of cross-river escape routes from the North Greenwich peninsula? It seems to be the least resilient of the lot!
Can one take a bicycle on the cable-car?

dg writes: Absolutely, that's one of the key reasons the crossing exists.
I'd speculate that TFL are edging toward a 'tourist attractions' tab, which contains the dangleway the rlr and others to follow
"by the time you read this the whole thing has been cleared up and the RLR aberration has disappeared"

It's still there. Perhaps nobody gets in until 10.
If the RLR is there hey could include the EOR as well.

The dangleway is a tourist ride and always was. To describe it as public transport is pushing it. It was a bolt on attraction for the olympics as was the Orbit tower and the boat trips.
Last time I was on the RLR, Haste Hill station was closed because the platform was too mossy. Have these Minor Delays been resolved?
I love the incredibly shonky way they tried to white it out. It was clearly some hacking some code doing a terrible job of it.
I'd like to see the EOR on the Tube map as well.
Can we have another post on the dangleway soon? Plleeeaaasee?
Comes to something when writing a blog about things gets more attention - from the people about which you are writing - than actually writing to said people themselves.

Hmmm, maybe I need more readers.

BTW - husband has fond memories of Ruislip Lido and the railway.
Three miniature railway posts in two weeks, DG. You're hanging out with the wrong kind of people. Or possibly the right kind...
I've lost count of the number of times I've stood on a tube platform, hearing announcements about there being "a good service" when there manifestly isn't!
If I knew it two weeks ago I might have visited it!
On the TFL status pages the "River Bus" page shows the status of the Woolwich Ferry.
E (at 0812): the seats fold up and have a strap for securing a bike - as seen here.

You're also allowed to board with a mobility scooter (up to 300kg, according to the FAQs), but for some reason they seem less than keen on unfolded pushchairs.
At present (18:25), the dangleway is actually shown as "Suspennded" It's a pity the saved screenshpt cannot be attached.
12th December: The RLR aberration has finally been removed.
