The one near Arsenal isn't really there either, as last time I saw it, the shaft was still there but the blades had been removed!
List may or may not filter for "defunct", and may not be inclusive. Excludes a set of 3 tiddlers near the IKEA on the North Circular near Park Royal, unclear if these are just missed or excluded as defunct because they haven't moved in years.
During my Friends of the Earth days years ago, one aim was to have solar panels on the roof and a wind generator in the garden, and thus be less dependent on big utility companies. It didn’t turn out that way, so we now have giant big business wind turbines and solar farms all over the country. At least, when the technology moves on, wind turbines and solar farms can easily be dismantled and removed to leave far less mark on the countryside that a coal mine or gas works or power station.
There used to be a small one at Merton Abbey Mills, but it looks like it's gone now based on Google Streetview.

They were a bit of a fad about 10-15 years ago, but is the occasional urban wind turbine going to do that much? In contrast, there are a LOT of warehouse and supermarket roofs out there that could be filled with solar panels that would do a lot more. Most of the leisure centres near me now have panels on their roofs.
Topography, noise and light pollution , Nimbys, Conservative Government ban on onshore windpower (madness). Just four of the reasons why Wind turbines, even small ones have no chance in London ( or other large Urban areas for that matter)

In the Thames Estuary however, the complete opposite. So maybe that explains the dearth in the Capital and the plethora on the east coast.
BP Connect "Hornchurch" on the A127 has a couple of wind turbines.
