Personally, I'm glad that most of the tactical voting has gone. I was rapidly losing faith in Eurovision up until this year's contest. As you (and Andrew Lloyd Webber) put it, it's now a song contest again. I thought Jade performed well, even if her nerves showed slightly. Norway's Alexander Rybak was a deserving winner though. Graham Norton was also a worthy successor to Wogan with regards to the commentary. So who thinks we might actually win next year? |
Someone should have told that boy to trim his eyebrows before appearing on TV in front of all of Europe. And possibly clean his teeth too. |
i think the eyebrow had been trimmed... |
Financially, we DON'T WANT TO WIN. It's bad enough having to pay for the Olympics. |
Everyone here has a street party on Eurovision night and although there are never any Australian representatives, we all barrack actively. This week there were 24 people, 13 of them hoping Israel would win, 6 ex-pat Russians sobbing into their vodka hoping their motherland would win and 5 Britons hoping for success. I personally didn't enjoy the Norwegian entry, but 41 countries proved me comprehensively wrong. Anyhow, I really wanted to thank you for your old article on Crossness. I created a link.
