All very interesting. Thanks for going out on a wet weekend so I could stay indoors!
Indeed, thank you, DG, and thanks fo the Open House organisers, volunteers, etc.
I am always interested in modernism (inter war years) in England. While growing up in 1950’s Britain in a typical Tudorbethan Metroland house in Ruislip. I had a friend who lived at 99 Park Ave, which was an Art Deco house, resplendent in Snowcrete, I fell in love with that style then and there.
I'd love it if one of the residents your 60-strong army disturbed were one of your readers, and they commented on this post
Interesting stuff - but do tell why the lady at Pinner House believed her ancestors to include a 'Neil' Gwynne.
Ah, I love an "interesting but" comment.

I'm afraid I couldn't ask the lady at Pinner House about her ancestor 'Neil' because she is dead.
Did this walk when it was first on Open House a couple of years ago. One woman resident came out to ask what this large group was doing. Our tour guides explained, and she invited us in to see the living room and garden!
