Coincidentally I drove down the parade of garden centres at Crews Hill yesterday, the first time I had ever been in that area. I saw some glimpses of The Shard and other towers whilst driving. Are there any spots where you can get a good view over the City in the Enfield area?

If you're going to Forty Hall by public transport, then use the 191 bus from near both Enfield Town and Enfield Chase stations. It's only a very short walk from the stop at Myddleton Avenue.
And for if you don't mind a little bit of a walk, then both Forty Hall, and the closer Capel Manor aren't too far from Turkey Street station. And for views towards the city? Well try Slades Hill between Enfield Town and Oakwood. Or head over to Trent Park. The higher parts of the Hadley Road also have some views in that direction. |

Capel Manor is ace. Though I (obviously) thought it would benefit from a miniature railway to trundle around between the areas. There was a quite splendid Morris 1100 Club show on - http://www.the1100club.com/index.php with a lot of Austin, Riley and Morris cars pootling about.
