Is the Brunel Museum too inner London?
Sydenham Hill woods (very close to the Horniman Museum) are nice. A large area where you can for secluded peace and no traffic noise. Plus there's the odd feature like the ruined Victorian folly, railway tunnel bat cave, and the spot from where Pissarro painted Lordship Lane Railway Station. Also nearby are Dulwich Park and Sydenham Wells Park, not must-see attractions, but good to link up if you fancy a longer walk. |
I couldn't rightfully say the Brunel Museum was in 'outer London'.
But I've given Dulwich Park an oblique mention, thanks. |
Rotherhithe ?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/coast05/ It too has a ecological park and I liked the Thames Tour http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/london/hi/people_and_places/nature/newsid_8077000/8077416.stm |
