One thing that has bugged me over the last few years apart from the very existence of the Mail and the Express, is that what used to be 'comment' and was more often restricted to editorials and features, is now presented as 'fact' on the front page. Mail and Express being doing it for years, but now heavyweights like the Telegraph do so regularly. I know there has always been editorial bias but at least it used to be subtle.

I always remember the Evening Standard on its front page the day before Boris ousted Ken, proclaiming it was all cut and dried, and in the event it was quite a close run thing. How many Ken followers were influenced by that headline and did not bother voting?

Jeez, we could have had a Boris free existence.....or is that too nieve?
The continual casual smearing of left-wing politicians by our overwhelmingly right-wing press is a significant problem. A policy position that might fall in the usual spectrum of social democracy in many European countries is castigated as hard-left, Marxist, Trotskyite, economically incompetent, etc. etc. in the UK. And then headlines and leader positions in the Mail, Telegraph, Times, etc, and the people who write then, are given airtime by our "independent" national broadcaster, the BBC.
And yet the BBC is also continually castigated as a publicly funded den of leftist twaddle by Conservative commentators. When both sides criticise the BBC as being too sympathetic to the other lot, I suspect the BBC is probably doing its job pretty well.
