Might be wrong, but I think it might not close until next March when the Farringdon to Moorgate train line closes |
Can't close until March 1st when the enough dual voltage trains should be available to send the trains that use the platforms to points north, replacing the trains that go to/from Moorgate. Bloody Wikipedia |
Excellent find. |
There are stations in Kent where the area behind the yellow line is about a foot wide for a considerable distance and you have to negotiate the lighting columns placed within it. I think Marden is one but my memory isn't always reliable ! |
This reminds me of a piece of 'road art' on the Lea Bridge Road - a bus lane is painted on the carriageway in such a way that there is not sufficient space for any vehicles beyond cycles to pass legitimately on the east bound carriageway. |
I think I've ended up on this platform once or twice, but I never noticed this. You can imagine all the passengers crowding into those few square feet inbetween the two yellow lines and around the lighting column. Excellent find, DG! |
Size XXLs stand under the canopy, size -0s (stick insects) in the foreground. Simple. |

Those yellow lines aren't needed any more, in any case. They were there in case a train came down the platform with a door open. Now all those trains have gone, though, the only platforms which need yellow lines are those on lines with a line speed of 100mph or more, which clearly doesn't apply here. |
