As a child I used to go to the London Scottish children's party each year, around the time of the move (including a couple of years in a temporary location nearby). Such was the effectiveness of the recreation of the drill hall that I always used to get confused between the old and new as they looked pretty identical. Adding to the confusion there a painting in one corner showing the drill hall in use circa the Boer War and it could have been painted of the same room. (The second photo on the Open House link suggests the painting is still there.)
