I'm thinking masks and social distancing could last forever - as none of the issues that trigger these viruses have been addressed, and as one fades to a level of everyday workability, another one will surface in its place.

BJ's "third wave" comment has been disputed by some scientists, who point out that the wave currently hitting Europe is partly due to the Kent variant. So whilst we may get a third wave, it probably won't be from what's currently happening in Europe, as he claimed.
