From Thames Group silt to Caithness Flagstone. That's the autobiography title sorted then.
'The Essex Discontinuity' sounds like a great retro science fiction movie. Maybe a long-lost Quatermass installment? A lot of middle-aged men in suits looking concerned at models of towns against matte paintings, and then something makes the camera shake a lot.
How often do they check to see if the Essex Discontinuity is still there?
Very pleased you like the apps.
Should that be Essex unconformity?
Looks like you're a fan of xkcd

I wouldn't have guessed you were an Oxbridge alumni, you kept that quiet!
However, you're obviously very articulate and self-motivated, which I guess is what they look for.

dg writes: Not that quiet.
I bet the Flintstones had a similar chart in their home.
A pedant writes: @Jonathan -- alumnus. Alumni is the plural. Or, if you want to be non-gender specific, just alum.
I do like a good old fashioned HTML table.
Those apps are fab DG. Thanks
Not sure it's right to classify Bedford as 'Chiltern'. Unless you were referring to a place of employment rather than residence.
@Alan BG - well said.
And very neatly done as Alum Bay is: "..a classic sequence of upper Paleocene and Eocene beds of soft sands and clays, separated by an unconformity from the underlying Cretaceous Chalk Formation that forms the adjoining headland." [Wiki]
It's all a bit too deep for me.
Great to have a geological life, even if the Bedrock (😁) is hundreds of millions of years old.
I'd like to be the third self-satisfied pedant to point out the incorrect use of a Latin plural.
