There's something poetical and evocative about the names of shipping forecast areas. I'm also glad to be snugly tucked up in bed at 5:05am when I hear Plenty, Colville, Brett, Kaipara, Raglan, Stephens, Cook, Castlepoint, Portland, Abel, Grey, Milford, Puysegur, Foveaux, Chalmers, Rangitata, Conway, Chatham Islands.

I have several nephews with unusual names, but none called Flash I regret to say. I went to Havelock North once, in the spring. It was very beautiful. Had a great pizza there.
