I spent many happy days of my childhood on Cuckmere beach and I would love to go back. I can remember picking field mushrooms right up to the cliff edge on the slopes of the eastward side.

There used to be a camp-site called 'Cuckmere Haven' here and I used to go with the Lambretta Club every summer for jolly camping week-ends. Then it was closed down. Anybody else remember it? Access was very limited over rough ground, so not many cars, it was a bit primitive.

Great to see the Seven Sisters again!

Superb Pics DG! Like the curved horizon behind Beachy Head and the little figures in perfect position.

Hi DG im looking at doing this

Ive got a ticket to Eastbourne, but when yiu did the 10 mile walk , did you get a train from the other station or a bus back to Eastbourne?
I usually walk one way and use the 12/12A bus back to Eastbourne (or bus first, walk second).

Only if I'm doing the full slog of a walk between Eastbourne and Seaford do I use different stations (buying a return ticket to Eastbourne, plus a single from Seaford to Lewes).
Thanks DG
