Here is the news. ELO are very underrated, they produced some fanmtastic stuff but all that gets played these days is Mr Blue Sky.

My faves, in order.
1. It Must Be Love - Madness
2. Mirror Mirror - Dollar
3. Beat The Beat - Mari Wilson
4. The Model/Computer Love - Kraftwerk
5. Being Boiled - Human League (which I bought the first time round in 1978 )
6. Get Down On It - Kool & The Gang
7. Golden Brown - Stranglers
8. Arthur's Theme - Christopher Cross (it's Burt Bacharach, it's good)
9. European Son - Japan.

What a month! But 1982 was to get even better...

Welcome to possibly the best year in the 1980s for pop music...

It was about to go down hill alarmingly with Seven Tears and The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I think my favourite is I'll Find My Way Home, closely followed by It Must Be Love; of the rest, The Model, Golden Brown, Being Boiled (which I didn't like then but do now), Get Down On It and Arthur's Theme, even Mirror, Mirror and Land of Make Believe , and yes, of course I loved I Want to Be a Winner, would all hold their own against every month subsequent and nearly all months previous, IMO.

Summer of 88 wasn't bad, actually
