Thanks for the links (option 3 & 4) dg: you just saved me giving any dosh to the evil Murdoch empire.

You can watch them streamed from here: http://tvlinks.50webs.com/
Lost\\_l...Lost\\_links.html

if your conscience allows...

Or you could go Cold Turkey and start doing something else instead. May I suggest:
1. read a book
2. do some art
3. hoover in the Lost slot
4. get addicted to X Factor

To be honest, DG, many of the pirate copies are better than on telly, because they've been recorded off American HD sources. Some haven't - but that's why you just pick carefully.

5. Get someone to tape them for you?

Get series 1 and 2 of 'Early Doors' and laugh yourself daft, instead.

Or get someone to import the series across the shores for you :P

My stateside mates tell me that season 3 is incredibly lame and that three episodes in and nothing has actually happened yet. I think the show is finished and they are just trying to milk it for all it's worth; until writers realize no one's watching and decide to give up the secrets.

I'll probably be going with Option 3 burnt onto DVDs from a friend like I did for series 2, and the quality was fine. To save your conscience, I'd be happy to pass them on when I'm done with them: you'd be recycling, which is a good thing...

Sky Three will show Lost, which is available on Freeview, but it won't be screened until June 2007. Prob about the same time CH4 whould have shown it.

Ah yes I forgot to say

Sky = Murdoch = Devil

Option 5: Fly to the 'states once a week and watch it on really telly there in a hotel room, then fly back again.

Cost .. ?

I hate sky. They did the same with 24. It shouldn't be allowed.

Yes, but if you press the Lost Magic Number into your TV remote, you'll be taken to a channel showing all the Lost episodes. Just beware of the monster in the living room......

I am so incredibly pissed off about this. First I watch two series of 24, enjoy them enough, and BAM, they're off to Sky.

Now with Lost.

Annoyingly I live in an area where we're not allowed Sky dishes.. TV through an aerial is nigh on impossible due to close by BBC transmissions.. NTL refuse to accept we're not living in a small village and we still don't have NTL Digital TV in our area.. which left us with Homechoice.

Homechoice don't broadcast Sky 1.

I'm renting my sofa out for wine. If I SKy + it I reckon I can cater for loads of people in a shift pattern.

I don't think series 3 is on pirated DVD here in Jakarta - yet.

I do have the complete series of Millenium ('97-'99), though, which is superb. It's got Lance Henriksen and the guy from Lost with a moustache and a nearly bald pate (Terry O'Quinn?). Do you want that instead?

With postage, it's about £8.

You wrote "But the picture isn't as good as you get on a real TV screen, is it?" Well.... YES, it most definitely IS. In fact in most instances it's BETTER. We stream the bittorrent file directly to our TV (bypassing the need to write to a DVD first) and the quality is absolutely brilliant.

We also d/l'd a few other series just to see the difference. CSI downloaded off the net is crystal clear - better than watching channel 5 directly.

That said, I think that Lost should have been kept on Terrestrial TV!! Sky should NOT be allowed to poach everything just because they have more money.

Coming to the party very late, I noticed this while trying to track down something for a friend. Much better than a straight transcript is the summary at http://
www.televisionwithoutpity...egory\\_1197.html
it's a summary but with lots of (generally funny)commentary added in. I read the Desparate Housewives one so that I don't have to watch the actual show, it's much more entertaining.
