Ah yes... some really impossibly bad ideas. And some which had some potential. And some of the good ideas got money, but not all.

It's fabulous telly, make no mistake. But it's annoying how it portrays business. Of course it's all about a good return on investment, but sometimes it's a bit too mean, aggressive and humilating and business doesn't have to be that way. Still, it's great telly. ;O)

I recall The Knowledge with particular fondness. They called it, and they didn't get through. He he.

What?

I saw the easyXchair. Duncan was in tears of laughter about it.

What amuses me is that the punters always go in prepared to give 10\\% of their company away, but end up giving 40 or 50\\% if they want the money.

I wonder, have ANY entrepreneurs had any success after the show ? ( excluding those that were already in business)

Perhaps Voltan should apply for series two. Funding for a new doomsday weapon is often hard to secure.

Maybe DG should visit the 'den' with his new idea of a year-round christmas blog / shopping experience?

Cringeworthy TV. Get out more DG. You live only yeards/metres/miles/kilometres from the city that never sleeps (soem mistake) and drink in some real culture or indeed new business ideas failing.

I vaguely remember a kiddy yoga organisation. They were foolish not to take the offer. Q-Top man was ace, but I thought he was going to have a heart attack. I think there is a 'Where are they now' episode next week.

I just hate the way Dragons Den assumes you have a memory span equivalent to that of a goldfish, and reminds you of the things that've only just fucking happened.

After ten minutes I'm yelling at the screen "Yes, I KNOW - it's only JUST happened!"

Grrrr.

Voltan surmises this may be because the show is intended for export to markets where advertising breaks may be inserted.

Either that, or the producers do indeed have a very low opinion of their viewers' intelligence.

The kiddy yoga thing appears to be up and running. We saw a poster for it in a café here in Birmingham on Sunday. My friends commented that it originated from Dragons' Den. (I can't comment; I didn't see that episode myself.)

As for being like business, I don't think anyone really believes it is anyway...do they? It's just a TV show. Real businesses don't have to make decisions so quickly and don't have five multi-millionaires offering their money.

Very Good. I thought Numberwang was hilarious (but may pall by the end of the series).
Angel Summoner & BMX Bandit was the funniest thing on TV for years.

Also you missed out the bonk thing.

And for that reason.... I'm out.
