Stroppycow, I don't think there is any more Chihuly glass - there was an exhibition at the V&A lo, these many moons ago, and the piece in the atrium was commissioned as part of the V&A's remit of being the UK's national arts & crafts museum.

It's one of those pieces you either love or hate, I think it's brilliant, some people think it's just Wrong for the space.

I think Chihuly glass sculptures work much better at a small scale. Here in Seattle there's Chihuly stuff everywhere... and those gigantic lobby filler pieces always leave me cold.

Can't imagine how they dust them!!!

Chihuly lives in a warehouse down by the water... looks like a factory from the outside, but inside it's filled with million dollar art, a glass roofed swimming pool and luxury trappings.

Visited this museum in 1999, last time I was in London. Quite marvelous, very beautiful.
