Love the till roll piece – another one of those “damn I wish I’d called it art first” moments. There’s a similar, if somewhat more artistic technique on display by Hadieh Shafie at the Jameel Prize exhibition at the V&A .
The sugar cube sculpture rang a bell, then I remembered we went along to see the artist’s rendering of the Tate Modern at Bankside last year. After the ‘excitement’ of last week, it is a welcome breath of (salty) fresh air to read of a sedate seaside weekend. Thanks DG. |
