that's a couque suisse (or couque ronde) in this country. chelsea bun - bah!

The label in the Harrods bakery may have read 'Chelsea bun' but my till receipt read 'Belgian bun' - so I guess they're both right.

Perhaps the bun was made in Belgium?

Apparently their various 'Truely British' branded chocolates are actually Belgian!

oh god knows. especially as it's called a 'swiss bun' over here ....

That is a Chelsea bun. A Belgian bun is not in a spiral and has sugar bits on top and a Swiss bun has no currants in it and is shaped like an eclair and sometimes has icing on it. Pink is the best!
