When I was younger, I remember well taking a 149 down Kingsland Road and seeing the old Broad Street line bridge over the canal having graffiti scrawled on it in large type saying "Mr Blair, Reggie Kray has served 25 years" or words to that effect. It made a nice little sumup of a dying segment of the east end, in the East End. It's since been replaced by some 'development' promo for some Hoxton overspill now, which Im rather sorry about because I would have liked a photo of it.
