By the way, I think the answer to P is hilarious, but can't work out which number it is...

Still to be guessed: C, H, N, P and 2, 7, 15, 16

Not a guess, but: en-dashes are also used to indicate tension (for example Arab–Israeli) while hyphens are used when it comes to co-operation (the governing Red-Green alliance in Germany).

P7 enema.

Argh, now I have guilt about my incorrect usage of horizontal lines. But I don't like the 'correct' way of using them, I find it aesthetically unappealing. Therefore I shall continue to use them the way I always have, but with an added nagging guilt about not doing things the right way.

I see that there are only two dash possibilities on my qwerty keyboard. I also note that there is very little possibility of anyone failing to understand my meaning if I use the wrong one (unlike, say, commas or apostrophes). I note furthermore that they all look pretty much the same and unless they were all lined up next to each other you can't tell whether a lone dash is a hyphen, an en or an em.

I thus don't worry.

there are only 2 possibility on the keyboard but you may notice that the word processor will adjust according to spaces left or not (I had wondered before why it did it).
