I spent almost the whole day right on the boundaries of Lewisham. There seemed little in the centre to draw my attention.

In the pedestrianised hundred yards outside the Lewisham Centre (ne' the Riverdale Centre) there is a fantastic Thai trailer called 'Thai House' where you can get a big tub of chow mein for two quid.

Since when was chow mein Thai?

Aw, I always preferred the Deptford High Street market. It's one of the livlier ones that haven't been taken over by antiques and gourmet food. I still go down there from work on a Wednesday when I need some cheap household stuff. They've got the same Thai trailer as well...
