Wasn't the Jon Pertwee Doctor exiled to earth or something (she says, dredging from her memory the content of the Doctor Who special on TV last weekend) thus giving a great excuse for earth based (for which read UK based) story lines? Very clever that. Oh and you'd better believe I'll be in front of the TV on Saturday! Wouldn't miss this for the world. |

Tried to post before but it ate it ... the reason so many monsters invade within 25 miles of TV centre is that up to this distance they dont have to pay an overnight travel allowance. Betchworth Quarry near Reigate is 24.5 miles away. Lots of shots of that in Blakes 7 as well. And the Talons of Weng Chiang was also filmed in St Margarets in Twickenham. |

I nearly ran over Tom Baker when I was racing around in a Transit van circa 1979; he was ambling across Kensington Park Rd, larger than life complete with long coat and scarf. I didn't see a Police phone box though. |
