I claim another spooky psychic point

> 'John had been binge drinking too much'

Editing cock-up or creative new expression that I plan on nicking from you and use it soon (in its variation 'I have been binge drinking a little last weekend)?

Love it either way.

Excellent post... and you manage to convey the whole story without once giving away your, or your ancestor's, surname.

Bloody hell, that's not a million miles from the ancestral story that I've been meaning to tell... spooky. Fascinating stuff.

excellent story.

Your most gripping post in a while. Funny how we find murder so interesting.

(Not that other posts weren't gripping, of course.)

Very interesting story, and well told. So good on you.

R., visiting from Scaryduck I think.

Oooohh spooky

My grandfather, when he retired and had little else to do, got my paternal ancestoral genes back to a bloke who came over from France just after William the Conq (my ancestor arrived in 1089).

I was fascinated, and I'm trying to find out what happened on my Mother's side.. but they were farm labourers and then tool makers, so I'm finding there's a lot less info on the working class people as I go back into the 1800s.

Plus, their surname is much more common than in my father's line, which makes it more difficult.

Anyway it's interesting to hear someone else has been digging away at the ancestoral tombs too! I'm not the only one to have been lurking about in graveyards then!

Verity - stay tuned for Friday's location!

What a strange coincidence. I was only up in Widdington the other day looking for some wildlife park.
