How interesting! Forum has a different plural depending on its meaning.

forum n. Any discussion group accessible through a dial-in BBS, a mailing list, or a newsgroup. A forum functions much like a bulletin board; users submit postings for all to read and discussion ensues.
n. pl. fo·rums, also fo·ra

Sorry, dg, I wasn't being sarcastic! I genuinely didn't realise that the use of the plural could change depending on whether we were talking about contemporary forums, or Roman fora.

Apparently it comes from Latin, meaning "what is out of doors". If only our Mediterranean ancestors had had the foresight to anticipate the technological revolution, eh?

Sorry I missed the tea at 3 forum, it looks like it was errrr, great
