So, the biggest \\% price rise hike came between 1980 and 1981?

And, how come you've got this year's already and we get ours through the post on subscription and we haven't? Hmmm.

Christmas is really here when the Radio Times and TV Times hits the shops - stand by with red pens for lots of circling of stuff I won't get to watch!!

Don't know if it was a 'working class' thing but my mum only bought the TV TIMES every week. But at Christmas she really splashed out & bought the Radio Times as well! I'd rather she just put another orange in our stocking!
And Trudie, you're right: we'll circle the lot and watch fuck all!

The Santa-reading-RT one was very memorable and seems like it was only yesterday. I think I'm getting old.

Hmmm, we got the Radio Times every week and only bought the TV Times at Christmas.

On an unrelated note, I'm looking forward to the bumper Christmas edition of the Radio Times, which is out this Saturday in London. I think it's out on the 10th December elsewhere. It's a Christmas tradition for me, going back many years, and something I eagerly anticipate.
^ I too (believe it or not) look forward to the "bumper" edition of the Radio Times. Think it a "tradition" more of people a certain age. At least this year too there none of that silly split with a Chritmas edition then a New Year edition. Who can forget 1972 edition...16th of December - 29th of December! If they can't be bothered to put Christmas & New Year together I don't buy it...tradition or no tradition!
I also look forward to the Christmas Radio Times coming out even if I don't always buy it. This harks back to the days when the only TV listing guides was the Radio Times and TV Times. It was only at Christmas we ever bought these and of course you had to buy both because in those days Radio Times only listed BBC shows and TV Times only listed ITV and then later Channel 4.
