Never understood the near universal liking of Seal myself... there is no Seal anywhere at Planarchy Towers!

I think even the unconverted amongst the audience were bowled over by his voice, if not the songs.

Let's face it, there just aren't enough solo pop stars named after sealife. Plankton, anyone?

Camilla? Slapper? What are you trying to say DG?

Hmmm, I have no doubt (for why would you lie?) that Mr. Seal has a wonderful voice. For me, and its a personal thing, technical ability always comes second to the vibe or creative energy (or whatever you might call it). Hence my liking of the Pogues, and much of the old school punks (and maybe even the Pet Shop Boys?).

Anyway, I'm enjoying the review :D

Although Trevor Horn probably fails my test.... surely a technical genius and a creative one.

And yet still I think he's great.

I was there too - in fact, only a few rows from you by the sound of it. Great concert; I was also a bit mystified by Ms Stansfield's choice of song, but I assumed that none of her earlier stuff was produced by Mr Horn. Seal was fantastic though, as were the PSB. I own no Seal at present, but might have to go and club myself one given that performance.

And I thought I was the only one that thought "All the things she said" was perfect pop! GJ

the blurry pics of ABC are magic. You get to see the guy on bass who got carried away on the outro of all of my heart. I want your babies sweetheart.
