I went to see the Tamara de Lempicka exhibition this afternoon with my daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mind you, she spent 90 minutes looking around and listening to the guided tour on her headset, and for half of that time I sat quietly reading The Guardian ;o)

One plus was that you got free tickets for the 'FIFA 100' exhibition as well. 'Worth seeing, but not worth paying to see', was my view. A posh youngster with leaflets approached me as I left and asked what I'd thought, and I said that I wasn't sure I'd have seen it unless it was free. He pulled a face and made a disparaging comment about de Lempicka. 'Suit yourself', I thought.

He then pressed a leaflet into my hand. This was a price list for copies of the footballer photos inside. I saw that they were £3,000+ each, chuckled and gave him the leaflet back, saying the prices were out of my league. He replied that smaller versions were 'only' about £300 - hahahahaha!

My daughter said that he must have approached me because I looked like a Lottery winner, i.e. wealthy but with no taste. It's nice to have a supportive family ;o)
