Cycle lanes & bus-stops are a challenging combination.

Around our way we have "floating" bus stops which sit between the cycle lane and the main carrigeway. They're not perfect (The queue for the bus stop often overflows into the cycle lane) but they're better than just closing the bus stop entirely.
The three bus stops Eric Street, Bow Common Lane and Mile End were always squeezed into a space that required two at most. It was infuriating when the bus stopped at all three, as it seemed inevitably to do.

You say it's not an especially long walk to the nearest alternate stop and you are right so I'm not sure how closing it forces passengers to make a significant sacrifice. Bit tabloidy that.
Tyremarks on a football pitch - outstanding! There's definitely more to taking such photos that simply pointing a camera in a certain direction, whatever anyone might say.
Dominic - the fact the bus nearly always stopped at the three stops indicates that there was actually a demand for all three stops.
Regarding your photos: Given the number, and type of pictures you take, I'd love to know what is your most commonly used (35mm equivalent) focal range. And any practical tips for the urban-centric walkabout snapper?
According to the EXIF data displayed on Flickr, all my photos are
iPhone SE (2nd generation) back camera
3.99mm f/1.8

Top tip - the more you walk, the more you see.
Typical for young fit cyclists to get priority over older and often aged bus passengers.
The EXIF data isn't publicly visible on Flickr. At least not to me.

I love looking at photographs. I hope you include more in the future and maybe link to large versins on Flickr. I usualy expand photos you link to there.

Why are the bonus photos on blogger.googleusercontent.com so small?

dg writes: they're the same size as other photos on the blog.
It's actually scary to think that people are being employed to design things like those posts as shown in the Burdett Road photo.
They probably looked great on paper but put them in the real world where they get covered in dirt and they become virtually invisible, particularly in poor light or after dark.
It's the posts outside the new city hall which caused me to raise an eyebrow. I'm not sure a pumped-up ideologue full of self-righteous anger and explosive, errr, opinions is going to think 'I'm not driving at them, that is going to hurt. But it'll sure hurt if you're a bit pissed, or distracted by your phone, or by a kid playing up, and you walk into one!
There's a floating bus stop on the cycle lane a bit north of the photo, so it's entirely possible for the two to coexist.

Most likely there's not enough width for that here without interfering with interfering with private motor traffic, or rather the loading bays opposite.

Either that or someone wanted to speed up buses by removing the stop, which means bus passengers are being forced to make a sacrifice for other bus passengers. The rotters.
When I said "I'd be surprised if Sadiq gets his feet under the table before next month", in fact the new City Hall opened to staff a few days later.

I had to direct a lost employee on a skateboard to the front entrance.
