Hmmm... Smoke looks interesting. Will be tracking down a copy. Thanks! |
I only finally bought Smoke #2 a fortnight ago, since Foyle's had a little stash left by their tills. I guess that means I'll end up buying #3 in November. |
Smoke is fantastic. I never read the first issue, but my copy of the second has been passed around to at least a dozen people. The challenge now is to manage to wait until I can get to an independent book seller to buy it. That Books Etc. around the corner on Cheapside is just too tempting. And yes, I found the LNR to be rather disappointing too. Perhaps it's because I get enough over-the-top, cynical everything bashing from TFT to hold me over for the week. |
Hmmm...the Smoke used to be an online-only magazine...it's a shame that they've removed the old articles just because they've started a print version. |
I know I'm by no means perfect but "Dave Gorman and I" please! |
No Smokes in Borders on Oxford Street or Charing Cross Road either, not even at 8pm. It may not be a PR disaster of Dasani proportions, but they could at least have updated the 'on sale' date listed on the website. |
2 things DG: i. You need to get yourself over to smoke HQ and get a job writing for them - soonest. They need you very much. ii. *twitch* What is the latest on The Refurbishment? |
I'd love to write for papers like that. Anybody want to offer us a gig doing such a thing? |
They seem very happy to accept contributions from readers, Matt. And almost every other article in the latest issue appears to namecheck the local bus route. |
