Eau de Bow does have a wonderful ring to it.... I hope you've copyrighted the name DG.

..and Radio 4 appear to be following your lead on the easy listening in the charts thing.

As for the not-really-Updated Blogs thing, and mine is one of them, in my case I've always thought it was down to the various random elements I have on the page (lyric/photo etc) which means you get a different combination of things each time you visit. Thus it appears as updated each time someone visits/refreshes the page..... just a guess.

I don't think that UK Updated shows a blog as updated if people comment in MT (and it wouldn't on sites using 3rd party commenting), although it might on self-built sites (what are they called).

I think that NiC is correct about the bits and bobs updating - anyone with random photos or 3rd party bits like Weather Pixie or Moon Phases will occasionally give a false positive.

Also, if you make any alterations to your template, or correct eg a typo in a post (even a comma) it will also show updated when it hasn't been, I've noticed.

will you be sharing my stool this friday at the salisbury mr DG?

"Bloody rucksacks on the tube"

My thought processes as I tried to translate this from English English to Canadian English:
"He doesn't like backpacks on TV? Why? How many backpacks are there on TV anyways? Oh maybe he means because they have blood on them. I still don't get it. Ooh- the tube means the subway. Now I get it."

See, I was thinking about the rucksack thing - at train stations, rather than the tube, seeing as my nearest station is Kings Cross and that's 4 hours away - ta to "the troubles" haven't we *always* viewed abandoned luggage as suspicious?

Was that just me?

I blame the fragmented state of music for bland charts. Once, when you wanted to sell records you needed a gimmick so TOTP viewers remembered you. (Like Phil Oakey's hair). Now you need to be MOR to get stations to play you to their target audience.

I did Sedgefield Spring last week. I think it's a great idea.

Surely clocks go forward in the spring?

Oops, yes. Future readers will never notice...

I always reckoned what was the point of stars in their eyes?

It's one thing to see a tribute band or celebrity impersonator live because, if you're lucky, you get a good evening's entertainment with some atmosphere and dancing.

But why would I want to see Bootleg Beatles or Bjorn Again on the TV when I can see the real thing on TV. Let alone some not necessarily very good imitators.
