Never did feel comfortable with a science like astronomy refering to points of light in the sky as imagined shapes. Incidentally, doesn't the earth also wobble slightly as the moon orbits it like a couple of binary stars.

Yup fremsley, that's the Chandler Wobble.
It's a 14-month wobble that causes the North Pole to be 6 metres away from where we might otherwise expect. Nothing to do with uncertainties on Friends...
