Whatever the weather, don't forget your anorak!

The weather forecast in America was amazing - less conflicting weather fronts I suppose - but they day I left the forecast was 'very windy and wet in the morning, sun will come out around about noon'.

Well bugger me sideways if at dead on 12 o'clock the sun didn't come out!

aargh! Raining antelopes!!!

Sorry, acid flashback.

twas a beautiful, sunny morning today, perfect for a gander in the woods. but the boilerman came too bloody late and so i missed out on most of the day.

Age old weather telling method: Scrumple up a sheet of paper into a ball, and place on windowsill. If it gets wet, then it's raining, if it's dry it's not raining, and if it disappears it's windy.

Dunno if it's just me, but I'm seeing the forecast images for M Tu W Th F below the subtitle "Predictions for Saturday's Weather" - and under Actual weather, I see the Cloud with the right-facing rays.

Somewhere, this is cocktail conversation.

Yup, that's where the images are supposed to be. The first five pictures in each row are the forecasts for Saturday given earlier in the week, and the final 'cloud with sunny intervals' is Saturday's actual weather.

I like the concept that the actual weather could be different depending on whether you read the Evening Standard or are a BBCi user. After all, we all know that Daily Mail readers go about with a huge cloud over their heads, but remember that in days of yore, for them at least, the sun was always shining in England and there were always buttered scones for tea.

doh! got it.

now that i reunite the imagery with the commentary at least.

Rickster... I hear they are doing entry level weather symbols on the weather channel next week... thought it might give you an insight
W.

but will they be slowing down the classes for us "'merkins."

with the walmartization of our country and culture - perhaps they could team up with mcdonald's and educate via big happy meals for big kids?
