I'm liking no 9 Relocate excess capacity. I think you may have something here. By relocating major attractions and thereby equalising the pull factor more value could be obtained from those crumbly out of the way stations. We now need, I realise, a master plan for the relocation of Madame Tussauds, Soho, Oxfod Street etc. Could ya put yer mind to that one Frank - could ya?

Making the tube more like mainline travel, increasing space and introducing selection are all the ways to go to reduce tube overcrowding and many of some of these are seen in a website "supporting" PPP - new-tube.co.uk http://www.new-tube.co.uk/

I have often thought that LU should implement a back-pack tax equivalent to double the price of a single person ticket. That way the people who insist on carrying everything they own with them wherever they go, especially at rush hour, would actually pay for the space they take up.

Totally with you on that one Peter.

I particularly hate the way that people with rucksacks tend to "forget" that they're wearing them and then constanly bash people who are unfortunate enough to be behind them

I'm curious, would the reflection of the Nation Rail element (pre - booking seats) apply to those of us who live in the [soon defunct] Connex South East region?

We don't [can't?] pre - book seats, hence we end up standing. Using the Underground now, is just like an extension of this.
