At least you got in. So many tales in the papers and on TV about "concert-goers" stuck on the A1, having to listen to it on the radio cos of the gridlock. I also heard four-five hour wait to get out of the car parks for some. This is the age of the train. |

Ah, the towers of Stevenage. I grew up there, you know. Not in the towers but in Stevenage itself. It would have taken me about an hour to walk home from Knebworth with no need to go anywhere near any cars or trains. But, of course, I got out of the place as soon as possible and only go back now to visit the family. I wouldn't dream of living there now. |
