Highest temperature on the Northern Line? Somewhere in the region of a million kelvins. At least, it felt like that on Monday.

The average summer temperature in Reykjavik Iceland is 10.6 Celsius.

Air Conditioning to die for for six years and then we get to the hottest week on record and it packs up. Can they fix it? No they can't.

You never gave us a lecture on the origins of the Fahrenheit system. And who was Celsius, anyway? What did their wives say when they announced they'd invented a temperature scale? Were they supportive, or just plain scathing? Or did they keep quiet about their achievements, in case their benefits got cut? How many temperature scales does it take to feed a family of four? How come Fahrenheit and Celsius both sound so foreign? You see, you've barely scratched the surface...

Also, it is snowing in Melbourne! Not in the CBD, but in the outer suburbs. I've never seen snow falling, thaought I have seen it on the ground.
