Oi! I care about the Winter Olympics! I would have been in them, if I hadn't obliterated my shoulders, knees and back in a bad skiing accident four years ago. But, I'm not sure on the lycra front, there is *way* too much of that.

Oh, I never had a bad skiing accident, but I have a like total aversion to snow. Otherwise I would definitely have been in them. That Cresta Run really turns me on.

Also I saw a porno once called The Other Side of Aspen. Talk about Olympics! (Shit - now you'll drop me off the blogroll!)

I love the Winter Olympics. The sheer lunacy of some of the sports...and snowboarders? Hello...hello snowboarders *dribble*

Snowboarding's in the Winter Olympics now?
I rest my case.

What about the luge...nutty as a fruit cake, bombing down the bob sleigh run on a tray. Madness, sheer lunacy.

What do you use for a brake, your bloody head (or something)

The Winter Olympics ranges from great sport (the skiing and ice hockey) to total wastes of time (snowboarding and ice dance).

A bit like the Summer Olympics, really.

You mean there's no US candidate? Did they forget or something?

I used to do a competition in the US (http://www.napsc.org), and really resented it when Snowboarding was made an official part. So, yes, like Alan said, it's like the Summer Olympics (Synchronised Swimming!?)

Well, the good news (for London) is that the IOC has awarded the 2010 Winter Olympics to Vancouver, Canada. So, fingers crossed for the 2012 decision in two years time...

'The Other Side of Aspen IV' is the best in the series.
