control a/control c/ paste to wordpad document before you post...

I've just reported it, again, to Blogger...

I've also just signed up to be considered for for beta trials on the new moveable type simple interface (type pad)

Well, this being the first time Blogger's ever eaten a post of mine for being too big, I wasn't expecting it to fail to save and then replace the 90\\%-complete post I'd previously saved with an error message.

Next time I shall learn to be a control a/control c/ pessimist.

No, no! Greymatter!

All I want is a scroll bar on the part where you type. Plus after 2.5 years on the other thing, this one is a bit distracting. Change, change, change.

Few of my posts are time-sensitive. I'm neurotic 24/7.

I'm still using the old HTML tags for making words appear in bold type and the new Blogger doesn't seem to care. I always type in the tags myself rather than depend on Blogger's nifty controls out of habit; I haven't gotten an error message yet. Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that I'm using Mozilla instead of Internet Explorer. Ev, if I remember correctly, wrote a few months ago that the new Blogger actually works better in Mozilla. Maybe. Maybe not. As insurance I tend to write everything in a text editor (NoteTab Light) first, then post.

I've been thinking about Moveable Type but I don't want to lose my original blog, I guess if I set up a domain I can keep the original and go with the new. Why am I asking a question that I already knew the answer to...

*Come* *to* *Movable* *Type*.

You can, of course, import your old entries into it (tho' I'm not sure whether 'new' Blogger be a problem until the next version of MT).

Installation is ... interesting, but thereafter you can do pretty much what you like with it.
