Makes writing eye test size
Previously, on my phone the page would start off very small and fairly narrow, but would then snap to the size of the screen making it readable. Now it starts off much larger, about twice as wide as the screen and I have to zoom out. In the first instance, the snapped size was legible, now, though I can still read the text, it is very small in order to all fit on the page.

I do about half my reading of your blog these days on my phone. There's no change I can perceive on my laptop.
It definitely reads worse. Can't see sidebar anymore. Using smartphone(Android)
As others have said the change results, at least on my iPhone 6, in the sidebar being pushed off the side of the screen making it difficult to move between it and the body.
Sorry, I probably should have split my earlier comment in box (a). As I said, there's a visible difference on the phone screen whereas the consequence - adjust the view manually - is quite the same to me. It certainly is more convenient to start with the full page width in view view rather than the top left corner.
It's worse here. 5 inch screen.
Worse- starts off too large to read anything and doesn't automatically resize.

Previously would start smaller, but all legible.
Android phone - I have to scroll around to see the whole width of the text - let alone the side bar. This is true even if I turn it to view in landscape format. Can't quite recall whether that was the case before.

Laptop - difficult to say as all the sentences in todays posts are so short that only one of them gets half way across the screen.
Not as nice on Android+Chrome - ok if it's text only, but images seem to limit the size of the display and ends up pushing text off the screen.
Text off the side of screen
Seems a bit narrow on my 13" MacBook Air.

I don't have a tablet or smartphone and read your blog on my laptop.
It reads worse - 4.7" screen needs you to zoom out to start reading every time the page loads.
Looks nasty in Chrome on Sony Z2 Android
Indeed, I now have to zoom out to read it (and thus making the text smaller). Running Chrome for Android, Moto G.
On an iPhone 6 plus using Safari it has become quite large. Text only visible as far across as Diamond Gee. I have to pinch it to see sidebar, or double tap to see all text. Annoying, but won't stop me reading
It made me reduce the screen size on my phone, I don't have to do that normally
Using Chrome on android. 5.02 inch screen. Previously would snap to the width of the text. Now zooms to approximately 200%
I lose the right hand side of a screen on my two (Android) phones, but it looks much the same on the (Android) tablets.
I mainly use my phone to read your blog and its worse.
Now twice the width of my Windows phone; used to snap to size. Fine on desktop pc with Firefox and even on old IE version at work.
VOTING ENDS
But now can you fix the comments box? The font size is tiny!
