One of the courtiers in the staircase painting is Peter The Wild Boy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_the_Wild_Boy.

A room there which I always find touching (YMMMV) and of course which may have gone now is the room full of little children's chairs to represent the 17 (I think) children Queen Anne had... all of whom died. Which is how come the Georges came in.

I'd echo DG - at half price it's worth a visit. Having seen the frocks (I used to be a member of HRP so went a few times) they're nothing special.

Except for the frock in the Victoria section which always makes me laugh. I like to stand there as people go, "Oooh, wasn't she short!".

Exactly the same height as me, as it happens (4'11")! Though by her death she was more than that around her bust, and I'm certainly not. Phew.
Look out for the "talking" statue of Queen Victoria on the east side of the palace in Kensington Gardens. She talks to you on your 'phone.
If you like that you can go and listen to Peter Pan.
This might be the first place I visited before DG (if DG had really never visited, that is). I think I am a rather strange tourist who found KP more attractive than Bond Street. (though the Tower seemed even more interesting)

To me, the sector about Queen Victoria serves as a complement to the Osbourne House. I wonder whether there's anyone just act like me, visiting both in a single UK trip?

I bought the majority of (edible) souvenirs at KP, for instance.
Not like you to go all royal. Never been tempted to go here be honest. £7.50 seems a good deal though...

I love a bargain and have already purchased my half price tickets, thank you for the information DG.
Potential visitors might like to know that when it says "Please exit through the gift shop", this is a plea rather than a request. The exit is straight ahead. The gift shop is a diversion.
