Britian? Apparently so..

I spent a day wandering around Coventry about six weeks ago, with my usual sparring partner for these things tagging along. After spending a couple of hours peering around the usual sights we took off in the direction of the rougher 'inner city' parts and kept bumping into that canal.. didn't bother walking along it, but your write up makes me wish I'd gone to the trouble.

I'll be surprised if any of my readers have walked this particular stretch of canal, although I do know a couple have chugged it.

I lived in Cov and I've never walked it. Then again I was a kid and Mummy and Daddy told me to stay away from water......

I have, last year, on the last day of a three-day walk of the Oxford Canal from i) Oxford to Banbury ii) to Braunston iii) to Hawkesbury Junction, Cov and home. Eighty-eight miles all told.

Havnig grown up beside one, I love canals too.
