An area of London that tourists like, but I seldom visit, I only pass through if going to the theatre or the London Transport museum. Maybe it's the bare bricks and the cold draughts (similar to my dislike of St.Pancras.)
For busker watching I prefer the Southbank area, and I have never shopped at Covent Garden except to buy a Cornish pasty.

Balls to the greedy tube drivers?

In contrast to John, I actually quite like Covent Garden, and am there perhaps two or three times a week. This probably explains why I used a picture of Covent Garden's Christmas Tree on my blog yesterday, and why my collection of London photos contains a large number from around the Covent Garden area…

Mmmmmm! Pasties! :)

Don't forget the Covent Garden photographic book by Clive Boursnell (photos taken in late sixties and early seventies). No DG readers house should be without a copy.

I am no way associated with the author, publisher, or anyone who may benefit from the sale of this masterpiece, um, er, I mean book.
