Hmmm. After a recent visit to Westgate, only to find that many of the seafront hotels remembered from my childhood are now gone, I've been meaning to go to Margate to see what changes have occurred there.
I saw the Tracey Emin exhibition at the South Bank, and caught an insight into her humour in one of her embroidered pieces, which said (in reference to her schooldays) "I'm not late. You're lucky"
[Actually, it probably said Your... but it brought a smile anyway.]
Congratulations on being the first and only person in the world ever to combine successfully the words "beautifully intricate labial tapestry" in a sentence!
Stephen Sackur recently interviewed Tracey Emin. I sat down to watch it with no anticipation of enjoyment but simply to keep up with things. Surprisingly, by the end of the programme I had really warmed to Ms Emin.
Dg - I'm not a big arts fan but I do really enjoy your reviews, more please!
