When I visited the bookshop next door to Platform 9 3/4 the Harry Potter books were on the shelves for Local Interest. This was some time ago so it may have changed.
I've often wondered - do the dressed-up people taking photos of Potter fans charge for the privilege and how do they get the photos to them? There's no 'desk' to sort it all out......
Previous report on the touristy tackiness of the Potter trolley experience.

The whole photograph thing sounds a bit rubbish.

Hope you had time to visit the Parcel Yard pub though, it's not bad as station pubs go.
Stephen: I believe they take the photos using your own camera/phone, and they make their money by encouraging you into the nearby Harry Potter shop after your shot. Never tried it myself so I'm not sure though.
Stephen: Or you could just read DG's excellent report that he just linked to, duh. I should engage my brain before typing.
I was at Kings Cross station a couple of weeks ago and saw the queue for this. At first I thought it was a queue to buy train tickets, I couldn't believe it when I realised that it was just for people to get their photo taken with part of a luggage trolley screwed to a wall.

The trolley on its own isn't as entertaining at the look on the face of the scarf holder as he holds yet another scarf to make it look like it's blowing in the wind!
