Also hidden away were some very nebulous sentences about cycle parking(odd because the whole area seems to become a tessellation of cycle routes). I guess the ArcelorMittal Orbit itself is eminently suitable for chaining one's steed to, judging by the design at the View Tube.

Cheers DG. Well, the 339 passes the end of my street in Mile End, and couold take me right to work in Stratford City. But once the centre is open, I won't be working there anymore. Oh well. Same thing happened when I was working on Westfield London!

I can tell you that there's a *load* of secure staff cycle parking, Orbit aside, should you wish to get a job at Stratford City!

So in all this legacy documentation published yesterday, was anyone else surprised to learn that the Olympic Park will close after the games and not re-open for another two and a half years? That's something the estate agents pushing Stratford flats don't advertise...

Novaelius - Latest comment from the ODA - "We will open the park in May 2013 and when we open it we want to open it finished as much as possible,".

It's good to get confirmation that you intend to keep blogging for another 11 years...

If the 388's start point is changed, does that mean the Victoria Embankment could go back to being the only street served by a night bus but not a day bus?

The 388 is already due to be trimmed back to Blackfriars at the end of next year, once Blackfriars tube station reopens. And then, yes, the only bus along the Embankment will be a night bus.

No mighty 108 to Stratford International? For shame.

Without a double-run like the old N8 that ends the 8 serving Bow Church.

You've done well to dig out the bus changes from that woeful document. I have only skimmed it but many of the changes are very badly described and do not align to the maps. The suggestion that the 97 does not exist as a route is just plain wrong. It is also difficult to understand what is happening to the 86 - just an increased frequency or is it extended to Stratford City? The alleged enhancement to the 241 is a cut in frequency compared to today.

If they can't get the basic facts right how much trust can you place in the overall assessment?

Interesting to note that the Westfield plans show a separate entrance for "Kent FastLink" at Stratford International. Presumably this was on the basis that Eurostar passengers would need customs facilities etc. Now that Eurostar have said they have no plans to serve Stratford (non-) International, will this extra entrance be needed? Although there look to be stairs at the Kent end of the platforms, there don't seem to be any escalators....
