Gosh, did not realise there were no state secondary schools in the City of London, although the Corporation of London sponsors three nearby academies (and also supports three of the six independent schools in the City).

When I was at school in the 1960's a fell ow pupil was named Roger Eddowes, from a family who lived around New Invention, to the North East of Wolverhampton. At University he met an East end girl, and later married her, and her name was Catherine. Lost touch long ago, but assume she has had a better life than her namesake. At least I hope so!
